Résumé : | The view of human ressources as a form of capital is not new, but it has only recently been thoroughly examined and explicity incorporated into the stream of economic thought. Professor Schultz has been influential in the development of this growing branch of econmics. In this volume he summarizes the work he has done in the field over the past decade. In particular he adresses himself to two areas he feels have been neglected by economic thinking: investment in human beings and research. The main stress is on formal education and organized research. |
