Note générale : | Joan Robinson s book is one of the first expositions of the Keynesian theory. The main point of John Maynard Keynes s theory of employment is the assertion that aggregate demand, measured as the sum of household, corporate, and government spending, is the most important driving force of an economy. Keynes also stated that free markets do not have self-balancing mechanisms that automatically lead to full employment. Keynesian economists justify government intervention through public policies aimed at full employment and price stability. In open economies, trade deficits and external indebtedness are aggravating factors of involuntary domestic unemployment. Keynes as A neo-mercantilist did not rule out foreign trade controls. The economic policy measures of the American Administration, inaugurated in February of 2017, directed to the creation of internal jobs, can be understood as strictly Keynesian and neo-mercantilist. |
