Résumé : | The papers in this volume relate mainly to problems of monopoly and the large firm and cover the period of the last fifteen to twenty years. It is a period during which relative certainty concerning these problems has given way to relative uncertainty. It has seen striking theses disintegrate under the corrosive action of factual criticism and syntheses arise which, if must less striking, are also much realistic. Edward S. Mason’s contributions to the “progress of economic science” along these lines of increasing realism make thougouht-provokink reading. |
