Résumé : |
"Part 1 analyses the fundamental nature of the Indian economy, the factors which limit the pace of its development, the influence of population growth, and the crucial importance of international trade (despite its quantitatively small size). The vital importance of expanding agriculture as well as industry, and the crucial role of the time factor, emerge clearly from the analysis.
The second part of the book gives a statistical picture of how the Indian economy will develop duting the Third Five-Year plan (1961-1966), if it is successfully executed. It throws new light on the development process by showing the inter-relationship of different parts of the economy, and gives a much more complete picture of what happens to consumers. |
