Résumé : |
Austrian subjectivist economics constitutes the most original and powerful challenge to mainstream neo-classical economics. In particular, theorists of the structure of F.A. Hayek, Ludwig von Mises and G.L.S. Shackle have criticized the determinism of neo-classical clockwork models, and questioned the pretence of knowledge in economics.
The failure of Keynesian and monetarist policies, as well as the contradictions of industrial regulation, has given new status to the once heretical claims of the Austrian school. This book is the first contemporary account of its foundations. In it, two of the school’s leading modern-day exponents present an integrated view of tis themes and make an original contribution to our understanding of uncertainty and dynamic processes. In so doing, they reinstate individual choice to its rightful place at the centre of the economic system. |
